Tailgating Recipe: Jalapeno Popper Dip

Enjoy this Jalapeno Popper Dip that pairs perfectly with chips - perfect for game-day or any-day!

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (1 block) cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 4-5 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely chopped

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese and 1/4 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese (for topping)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Tortilla chips or your favorite chips for dipping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Mix until it's smooth and well combined.

  3. Add in the shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, finely chopped jalapeno peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together until the mixture is evenly blended.

  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. A 9x9 inch square baking dish or a similar-sized oven-safe dish works well.

  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and shredded mild cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the dip. This will create a delicious golden crust as it bakes.

  6. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the top is golden brown.

  7. Once it's done, remove the Jalapeno Popper Dip from the oven and allow it to cool slightly before serving.

Note: Be cautious when handling jalapeno peppers, as they can be quite spicy. You may want to wear gloves or wash your hands thoroughly after chopping them and avoid touching your face. Adjust the number of jalapenos to your desired level of spiciness.
